Scott B. Talbott was born in Norwalk, Connecticut.  Mr. Talbott pursued undergraduate studies in abstract mathematics at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.  While at UNLV, he was on the Dean's List and was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key National Honor Societies.  In 1997, Mr. Talbott began his legal studies at Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas and received his J.D. in 2000.  During law school, Mr. Talbott was a member of the Order of Barristers and a top ten speaker in the 1997 Strausberger & Price Moot Court competition.

Prior to joining Cantilo & Bennett, L.L.P., Mr. Talbott was employed with a Civil Litigation firm in Austin practicing primarily in the area of insurance defense.  As a part of that practice, Mr. Talbott tried over 30 jury trials.   Mr. Talbott’s practice includes general civil litigation and insurance.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Young Lawyers, and American Bar Association.
